1. Some reasons why video games were successful is that you can immerse yourself in a new and more interesting world. It was also successful because people were amazed that they could take control of what was going on, on their screen. People can also play with their friends and compete or cooperate in games. hey help build relationships with others.

2. A lot developers were just producing a lot of games instead of producing quality fun games. So the people playing the games were not impressed and got very bored of these games. Also, E.T. was released around that time, it was a rushed game that turned out to be what is considered today as the  worst game in history.

3. Video games are definitely a form of art. Developers have to design characters that can be very complex. They also have to make good story lines and design visually appealing landscapes, to immerse the players into the game. Video games can look beautiful if there is talented developers behind the game. Musicians tell stories through the music they make, painters tell stories through the pictures they paint and video game designers tell a stories through the games they make.

4. VR (Virtual Reality) is for sure the next evolution in video games, it is making a comeback. It still has a lot of place to grow and a lot of potential. A problem with the VR headsets is that currently they are very expensive (around $600) which is more than a console. They need to work on making the VR headsets more affordable.
