Indie Game : The Movie

What are some of the difference between "big games" and "independent games" in terms of style/concepts and how they are made?   1. Big games are very polished and made with way more people. Independent games are only one person or maybe a couple of people working in it. Independent games are usually more personal and creatively free. They can make whatever they want without having to ask the higher ups in a business. They get to create their own vision. What are some of the difficulties the developers in the film had to overcome? 2. They had to spend a most of their day making the game so they had to sacrifice their social lives. Scratch Level 2 - Racing Game

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/186983505/#editor Can you make it two player? Yes, all you have to do is get another car and copy the same code for the first one. But, you have to change the controls(WASD for example). You also need a new speed variable or else when the first car move the second car also moves with it. Can you make a countdown? Yes, I made one in my game. 1. I did not have trouble making this game, it was fairly easy to make this game and add my own twists. For example the lightning bolt. 2. I added a countdown before the game starts so that when you click play it doesn't start the time automatically. This gives the player time to get ready. I told it to display a costume than wait one second then display the next costume, etc. I also added some green indents on the track to make it harder, so the player has to go around them or slow down when it is more narrow. Photoshop Intro

             I inserted all the pictured in layering some of the edges on top of each other. I then Smudged he edges of the pictures together so that it looks more like it is one picture, instead of three separate pictures with just straight edges. Then I added a text. I wrote "AnthonyH Game Design" and changed the text to a dark green/military green.
